About Me

My name is Page de Camara, and I am a professional violinist living in Brookline, MA.  I began piano at age 3 and violin at age 6.  At age 16 I toured China as associate concertmaster of the Chicago Protégé Philharmonic, giving joint concerts with the Beijing Philharmonic.

I received my Bachelors in Music (violin performance) in 2005 from the Hayes School of Music in North Carolina under the instruction of Dr. Nancy Bargerstock.  After graduation, I spent a year in Chicago
studying under Rong-Yan Tang of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and forming the Artesian String Quartet.  Our quartet was selected to be a faculty quartet in residence at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan for the summer of 2006.

In the fall of 2006 I returned to North Carolina to pursue my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy while playing First Violin of the Hayes String Quartet (the graduate quartet for the school of music) in the form of a graduate assistantship from 2006-2008.

I am Principal Second Violin of the Brookline Symphony and I am also in charge of chamber music for the orchestra.  I will be performing the Brahms Clarinet Quintet with musicians of the Brookline Symphony in October and our first orchestral performance of the season will be in November. www.brooklinesymphony.org

Currently I am freelancing as a violinist for weddings, receptions, and other events, and I play both as a solo violinist and as a chamber player (in quartets, quintets, duets, and trios).  Please see my sections on weddings, lessons, and/or improvisation.  Thank you, and I hope you enjoy your visit.
